Birthday

I'm a little behind in my scrapbooking these days but I finally managed to get a page done from my son's last birthday.

I saw this layout over on Scrapbook Generations website quite a while back and absolutely fell in love with it. I was determined to figure out how to adapt it for a boy and was so excited when I realized how great it would work with these pictures!

I used an old line of birthday paper from Creative Imaginations and several brights from Bo Bunny's double dot line of cardstock. I had an old set of Basic Grey chipboard numbers that I covered with more of the cardstock.

I used the Celebrations Cricut cartridge to cut out the balloons, popped up a few of them and attached some string.

Snow Fun

We had so much fun walking around in the snow (after the temp FINALLY got above zero) and even though I couldn't wait to scrap them, life kind of got in the way and I just now got around to it. I found this layout on Allison Davis' blog a while back and thought it was perfect for these pics. I used some old Basic Grey paper that I've had for a while and paired it with some Thickers and die cut shapes from My Mind's Eye.

I chose to pop up the die cut embellishments as well as use Stickles to make the words snow and winter sparkle like the snow.

I also used some Tiny Type letters to add the word wonderland to the large circle die cut.

Gardening

I finally got around to printing out and scrapbooking the pictures of my son helping his grandparents plant seeds in their garden last fall. When I saw this paper from the My Little Shoebox line, Farmer's Market, I knew it was perfect for these photos. I ended up using the solid papers instead of the bright papers with the veggies on them but the theme still comes out in the embellishments.

Layout

I finally got around to finishing the layout for this sketch that I made a while back. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I originally planned to use old fashioned hand arrows to point to the pictures but really liked the look of the arrows much better. I also added the chopsticks above the title which I cut out from the Pagoda Cricut cartridge.

P.S. Please excuse the terrible photos. I took them with my phone in a room with no windows....
